Hoth: Blood and Ice

Returning from the commons, Pipka goes to the Turtle's bay to retrieve the Rabbit. He should've done this earlier, shouldn't have bothered going to the sermon. It was nothing like the guided medication.

What was done was done and there was nothing left to do but to get back to work. That was what Pipka did, what he had always done in the past. There's always some reason to not feel good enough and it's hard at the end of the day, he needs some distraction. Getting this work done on the Rabbit would be perfect.

Hacha had wanted to wait and see what kind of work the Ortolans did before trusting them to work on the Rabbit. After they proved reliable, he gave the all clear to Pipka. Their speed already handled like a crawler, so the modification didn't effect the Rabbit too negatively, the benefits outweighing the drawback.

Carefully, Pipka pulls the Rabbit up to the Ortolans to request their Hoth-proofing services.

The ortolans smile and one says in their language, "We are more than welcome to oblige, we will have to bring it back first thing in the morning as we are heading out. Is that fine?"

[Pipka]

They seemed like trustworthy folks... but the others would be so angry if something happened to the Rabbit. "I can leave it with you overnight, but do you have some collateral to trade? Something that will encourage you to bring it back?"

[Dapper Dog]

"You can keep Gibzy Wizy Tik," one says shoving another ortolan forward.

This one said, "I will valiantly remain until my companions return. So when do we eat?"

[Pipka]

Pipka's eyes widened in glee, A buddy! he thought.

Quickly programming a twelve hour authorization on the Rabbit, Pipka leaves the speeder with the mechanics to address his new friend, "So Gibzy Wizy Tik, I have a very important question for you. Do you like building snow forts?"

Pipka's noses twitched a bit at that comment, but he quickly recovers. "Alright, important questions two through four.

Do you know where we can get some chocolate or hot chocolate powder?

What do you like to eat? I've only got field ration blocks, but maybe there's something with the bazaar we can pick up.

And lastly, are you ready to pull an all-nighter? I guess a follow up question if not, have you ever used a stimstick?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't know what that is, but maybe? I eat all the good stuff, but especially grub grubs. I can stay up all night," he responded in his language.

"But I have to tell you that I am already taken if this is a courting ritual, I am flattered but we should just be friends."

[Pipka]

"That's okay, the friendzone's the endzone is what I always say. Let's go find some grub grubs."

Taking Gibzy's hand, they walk through the bazaar, enjoying a meal and keeping an eye out for any kind of hot chocolate supplies. He wanted to give the troops a treat for all their hard work with the base.

Then he sees it, 'Jo’s Goats Emporium, all Goats, all the time'. Did he dare? What would he find inside, another heartbreak? Could he get some goats' milk for the hot chocolate? There was only one way to find these answers. He ventures over, Gibzy in tow.

[Dapper Dog]

"Hell fine customer, interested in some racing goats, or cooking goats... or..." He lowered his voice and added, "Loving goats."

"Don't ask, some folks on Dantooine are odd."

[Pipka]

"Yes! I want to love all the goats. Do you have any goats that can be milked?" Pipka asks while reaching out to the goats and making nonsensical noises at them.

[Dapper Dog]

"I can part with the herd for... a mere 10,000 credits," he responded. "Or we can work out a payment plan, totally legal."

The WHOLE herd! Pipka pats his pockets frantically. There was the briefest moment of hesitation before he remembers Jan's wise words. He was going to be the type that took the shot.

"I don't have ten thousand credits on me, but we can do the payment plan, I'll take them all. Also, do you have any chocolate, or even chocolate powder mix?"

Visions of mugs brimming with warm, hot chocolate made with creamy goats milk, of small wooden planks covered with bite size pieces of goat cheese, and maybe even some heaping bowls goat stew, filled his mind.

Pipka will gleefully exit the bazaar, hand in hand with Gibzy Wizy Tik, corralling a herd of goats towards the Turtle's bay in the hangar.
