Hoth: Blood and Ice

[Galen Panteer]

"She learned a lot about the killik when she helped then migrate." he explained. "She likes to help whomever she can."

He handed her a cup of hot chocolate. "Having a ship suits you."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"She's always been very helpful. I suspect if I had met her before that...incident on Nar Shaddaa things might have turned out different."

Aphr accepted the hot chocolate, holding it close before tilting her head.

"Are you sure? I'm pretty sure the one time Xierreau trusted me with flying the ship I almost crashed on takeoff. Why does it suit me?"

[Galen Panteer]

"I've never been comfortable with spacecraft. I just feel off, being out there." he said. "But, part of me has always envied those who had their own ships. Even with the responsibilities and restrictions that might come with it, it seems like a kind of freedom."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"It's freedom until you see the bills" Aphr said with a laugh "but I've always imagined you out in the galaxy somewhere, hunting acklays and other beasts. Flying a ship would be useful for...I guess transporting caught animals? Although forget having an Acklay on a ship! That thing was almost as scary as any Sith I've met."

[Galen Panteer]

"Ships certainly have their uses, but I prefer to have my feet on the ground." he shook his head. "I have taken a liking to thranta riding, though."

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr took a small sip of the still very hot drink.

"Oh, you can ride those? I bet that must have been really thrilling! So you've got a bunch of pet Thrantas at home in your palace? Are you allowed to hunt animals on Alderaan?"

[Galen Panteer]

"Yes." he nodded. "But, I only do so if necessary. Like in our current situation. I'll probably do some hunting to supplement our food supply."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I wondered if you would hunt here...it's a bit cold though. While I would love to help, I remember last time I came for something like that. I'll focus on helping the base, and maybe just be eyes while you do the catching" Aphr smiled at the man.

[Galen Panteer]

He nodded. "There are a few other hunters here. So, it should be fine. I'm wonder if Zeno would willing to hunt with me yet."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Zeno is here too? It feels like a Nar Shaddaa reunion!" Aphr laughed, looking down at her hot chocolate.

"I wonder if he remembers what happened...I hope he isn't annoyed still. it was a long time ago now."

[Galen Panteer]

"He seems fine with it." he assured her. "He's had the opportunity to confront me about it, if he wanted to."

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr smiled.

"I'll have to find him and say hi then. I haven't seen him in a long time, which isn't unusual but I had heard he wasn't with the Sith anymore?"

[Galen Panteer]

"He also married into Alderaan Nobility. House Thul, specifically." he said. "I don't think it's changed him much, though."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"More royalty. Maybe one day my prince will come" Aphr said with some amusement, sipping the hot chocolate "why have you come here then? Zeno I can understand, I expect some manner of bloodshed and death here and Zeno did quite enjoy that side, but I didn't take you for that. Especially if as you say you have children now, seems an unnecessary risk unless you have other reasons."

[Galen Panteer]

"I came to scout for the Republic, to advise and assist the ground forces that would be searching the planet surface during their aggressive diplomacy." He took a long sip. "But, I also wanted to speak with more of the Jedi about whatever is out there in the Force."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Whatever is out there? Do you mean...the disturbances?" Aphr asked, tilting her head "you feel them too?"

[Galen Panteer]

"Yes." he nodded. "Something looming, just beyond sight. Whatever it is, I think it's part of why we're here."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"It is" Aphr nodded "something big is coming. Something strong, that will change everything. Yet it doesn't feel terrible, which is the more confusing part...my visions have leaned more towards perfection in the Force."

[Galen Panteer]

"I don't know anything about visions. That's beyond my abilities. What would perfection mean?"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"That's the question isn't it? The Force can't be perfect, unless the people that use it are equally balanced in how it's used. So...that doesn't leave many options. In the visions it was all even, all perfect. Going by how it is used, the only way the Force was perfect is if nobody used it?" Aphr shrugged "it was something impossible yet in the vision it was thus."

[Galen Panteer]

"I'm not sure that makes sense either." he frowned. "The Force is in all living things. What were these visions?"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Worlds destroyed, civilizations destroyed. A war to end all wars, and in the end perfection of the force. My dreams have had other parts too, two men and an empty throne. Something about The Dragon’s ascendance."

Aphr frowned.

"All...kinda apocalyptic, which is why having a feeling of the Force perfected in there is very strange.

[Galen Panteer]

"I've heard something similar from someone else." he said. "I'm concerned that coming here was connected to it, as well."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Hoth seems to be the central point of something starting or happening. What else have you heard? It seems all connected to the Force feel something, and those who are more attuned with looking forward have seen something...more?" Aphr frowned more "if I knew anything about what this 'Dragon's ascendance' was maybe I would have a point of focus."

[Galen Panteer]

"It was similar. A looming threat. The destruction of worlds. But, from what I've been told and the way things have unfolded, I think there's a strong possibility we were all drawn here." he said. "Someone or something wanted Jedi, Sith and other Force users here."
