Hoth: Blood and Ice

His eyes seemed to show he was rather amused by all of this before he turned around. "Sith Lord is a pretty important role to have filled on your ship, Hacha." He looked back at Songbird and nodded.

"As well as a musician. You okay back there, Songbird? Don't suppose you know a marching song?"

"Oh yeah! No one else in the Republic fleet has another of those on their ship! Once we get it fixed of course...take that OHOHOHO lady! "

As the Songbird broke into song, Pipka came hopping back onto the trail, returning from one of his unfathomable, mini expeditions. He tried to sing along with the song, repeating the refrain without knowing its meaning.

Between refrains he asks, "So, are we going to Junktown after the Turtle is fixed?"

[Nudimsu]

"Oh yeah! No one else in the Republic fleet has another of those on their ship! Once we get it fixed of course...take that OHOHOHO lady! "

"I cannot say that I know of any that do. Their loss." He nodded along in the snow as the song brought them thru it. It was not as dour as some of his own people's musical efforts. "She's not worth the effort, Hacha. She'd likely have crashed herself with that many ion blasts to her own vessel." Tempting as it may be to sneak on her ship in the middle of the night and plant something, he had other concerns.

"Likely before. I don't know when we will be able to get back to the Turtle again. Great that it is so close to the base, but the weather may not be able to accommodate us getting it back so quickly. Besides, we may be able to find something in Junktown to speed along the process."

"Things to assess when we reach the settlement. Maybe we can see what supplies we'll be allowed to requisition to help. Habing multiple freighters planetside would be in the best interest of every one." His boots sank into the ice and snow, each step heavy and making sure his purchase was good.

The Pantoran hummed along to the song being sung.

"The good news, for what it's worth, is that once the electronics cool off, and we have a clear heading and we don't need to worry about freezing to death is that it won't take long to be airborne again. A full reset and controlled start will flush the excess energy from the circuits. The frame is bent but we've taken worse. My biggest worry is long term wear

She and I have that in common. He nodded, thinking to himself. "Nothing a fresh coat of paint and an oil change can't fix. She's a tough bird, she'll pull through." She had pulled through a toepedo to the thrusters, crashing into now two planets, and more blaster fire than most military vessels.

The Turtle is a thing of legends.

"She's got a lot of centuries ahead of her."

[Nudimsu]

Nudimsu looks at Durasay and nods his head. "Absolutely right; the ship is a part of the crew, like the rest of you. You don't just leave your crew out there alone and have them just freeze to death."

He turned ahead and continued "We'll do our damndest to get her out of the cold when we're able."

"At least there will be a nice, clean place to keep her while we patch up what he need to." Hacha states with the kind of surety that the universe is bound to prove wrong.
