Hoth: Blood and Ice

Luth looked over her shoulder from the instruments with a smile and nod. "It did. Great job, everyone."

(I'm good with chatting and roleplaying a bit more even if we've succeeded the Opportunity )

Kat helped the survivors into the vehicle before she got in herself.

"I think that sounds great, Breela. Excellent work," she nodded, overall relieved that this operation went so smoothly. Survivors, some external power-cables restored, and potential trading goods. "It feels like this bodes well for the cooperation between both sides, yes?"

[Luth Khalan]

(Sounds good to me. )

She nodded at that. "I think so. I'm just clinging to the hope that people will behave like adults. We're not short on agitation all around."

[Galen Panteer]

"I'm afraid that, if we can't all work together, things will get really bad." Galen sighed.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie quietly aided in helping the injured and prepping them for transport back. This was indeed a good first cooperative effort and she would say that their search had proven fruitful. That said, that just further valid her concern about other possible survivors lurking in the waste. Much like the cooking pair, they might be helpless or too hurt to call for help. She couldn't realistically turn over the icy dunes to be certain but it was still enough to eat at her.

She might have spotted some of the wampa tracks on the ground and considered this might have been part of their migration route. If they were any other occasion, she might have considered setting up a hunting expedition. However, the circumstances of her visit were different and she would be fine with an understanding. So long as the predator was smart enough to respect their boundaries, she wasn't going to pursue them.

[Breela Po]

Breela deftly climbs into the craft and pulls up a seat. "There's bad blood. I get it, I lost my husband on Coruscant. But if I can move on the rest can move on. This is no time for petty grievances and old grudges. Consider me firmly in the camp of integration and cooperation."

She is happy to see the survivors. "I hope any remaining survivors make it through the night. It'd be a good idea to have round the clock patrols out searching. At least for another day or so. Afterwards, well..."

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie spoke up as the topic of survivors was brought up. "This is likely something we'll constantly have to keep an eye on until we can be for certain we've accounted for all who've landed and those who've been lost. It would perhaps do wonders to get some elevated eyes in the skies once this blizzard clears up, that is if the skies themselves won't be contested. I don't think we'll be much in shape to retaliate if these pirates decide to further their aggression."

[Galen Panteer]

"The best hope is that anyone out there stayed with their ships or pods." Galen said. "Even damaged, the shelter they'd provide should help them through the night. It would also make it easier to locate them in the morning."

[Breela Po]

Breela yawns, "What a day!" Rubbing her eyes she looks out the window. "I wonder if they know where we are? The pirates. It's killing me that we don't have any intel on them. Any REAL intel." She sighs. Aside from the inclusion of the Sith. Her stay on Hoth was shaping up like any other behind the lines sortie she'd been apart of. First they'll establish a base, a reserve, gather intel, engage in lopsided warfare, then coordinate a counteroffensive. The only true potential monkey wrench, aside from the proud-mouths on both sides, is this force anomaly. What is it? What's causing it? How do we stop it? "Hmph." She grunts audibly.

[Katarzyna Panteer]

"We'll have more search parties on the morrow, when the light is more favourable for us," Kat gently reassured the group, knowing that they shared her concern of people awaiting rescue in the escape-pods or other crashed ships.

She did nod in agreement with Breela's words. "It would seem that the intel we did have was lacking. The pirates are better equipped than first anticipated. If they know our location, I think night-time will reveal, as it would be most tactical to take advantage of our predicament this first night, when we are worn out and still disorganized." There was a grimness to her voice as she spoke, as she realized that if the pirates had corralled them into this specific spot, they had almost all the advantage now. At that point she was determined to keep watch through the night. "Tomorrow, we might be able to communicate with any locals nearby. Learn more about our adversaries."

"This blizzard will probably mess them up as much ad it does us," Luth noted. "It'll get in the way of looking for survivors, but it will also likely make an attack prohibitively difficult, even if they do know where we are."

[Aurilie Alde]

"I'd hate to admit that this blizzard is working as much against us and for us at the same time." She frowned as she looked off vaguely to the distance where the direction where the wampa direction could be. "There remains the possibility that we might be passing each other and not even know it. Hopefully, they've been fruitless in their search. I don't know if they would be kinder than the damnable blizzard. I don't know if they were intent on taking prisoners."

[Galen Panteer]

"We don't know enough about why they brought us here. But, if they attack tonight, we'll be ready." Galen was staring out into the storm. "Regardless, we'll have a better idea of what's going on tomorrow."

[Breela Po]

"Tomorrow, we might be able to communicate with any locals nearby. Learn more about our adversaries."

That's exactly what I'm going to do. She gives Kat a reassuring nod.

"This blizzard will probably mess them up as much ad it does us," Luth noted. "It'll get in the way of looking for survivors, but it will also likely make an attack prohibitively difficult, even if they do know where we are."

"Agreed." She says to both Luth and Aurilie.

But, if they attack tonight, we'll be ready.

Yes... we will. Breela keeps a cold gaze on the weather. She'll keep to her thoughts unless spoken to.

"Mm," she nodded in agreement to Luth's words, as well as the other. Seeing that everyone was coming together like this, sharing the same thoughts, it gave a feeling of hope.

"We should probably see about setting up some sort of guard-routine around the base. Just to be safe... whether it be to ward against pirates, or other predators."

[Aurilie Alde]

"I imagine that any sort of formal chain of command doesn't apply so much right now, considering that we might not exactly have enough to an establish squad or unit. May as well, considering the situation is anything but formal. I don't there has been a precedence to set any sort of terms, correct me if I'm wrong on that."

[Luth Khalan]

"Mm," she nodded in agreement to Luth's words, as well as the other. Seeing that everyone was coming together like this, sharing the same thoughts, it gave a feeling of hope.

"We should probably see about setting up some sort of guard-routine around the base. Just to be safe... whether it be to ward against pirates, or other predators."

Luth nodded in agreement to that. "Yeah. Can't be too careful. At least monitoring sensors. They can see better than we can at the moment, aside from the Force."

"I imagine that any sort of formal chain of command doesn't apply so much right now, considering that we might not exactly have enough to an establish squad or unit. May as well, considering the situation is anything but formal. I don't there has been a precedence to set any sort of terms, correct me if I'm wrong on that."

"No... It seems pretty informal. Though I'm sure some people will be eager enough to try to establish a pecking order, if nothing else," she sighed.

"We'll probably become more organized tomorrow." he suggested. "But, I doubt anyone would object to a rotating watch. It's a good idea."
