Meanwhile one of the wings breaks off to hit the big easy target. The big'uns have most loot!

Garth wasn't going to wait for the Pirates to turn their aim at Miyi and himself

"Hol' tight darl' this is gonna get a li'l crazy." With those ominous words Garth let his senses reach out and flew straight between a couple of the shrieks, his unconventional tactics and Force enhanced reactions making it harder for the enemy to draw a bead on him.

"Ah dunno what Nudi got's in mind, but we're coming through this in one piece."

Action: Activate Sense (Committing 1 Force Dice to Upgrade the first two attacks on me each round once)

Right idea, wrong aim... but now two wings were harrying the cruiser! The ion cannons don't find purchase but they detonate sensitive debris that creates a cascade effect of explosions and more debris around the cruiser!

OOC: Fly to Close but missed, using 5 advantage to generate an explosion that creates veritbale minefield around the Cruiser upgrade any piloting rolls by 1. Use advantage to give next ally a boost die.

Miyi tightened the strap securing her into her seat, and dropped a hand to her belly. It always made her a little nauseous when Garth spun, but there were few pilots in the galaxy she could bear to have relegate her to the passenger seat.

"Ok good, that stopped the immediate problem" Hacha's fingers fly across control panels and breakers, resetting overloaded sections and desperately working to divert power so that the flow regulates. Hacha's frown goes and the lights on the system only occaisionally blip green, for the most part remaining yellow.

Perhaps it was some strange power fluctuations that distracts the group that had been greedily chasing the Turtle, and they are hit by the debris their comrades created with their willy nilly firing.

“Miscellaneous, perhaps make yourself useful and take the heat off Melmoar… if you are capable of that,” she said as she gained a line and took out two star fighters neatly.

“In case you are confused, Melmoar is the large cruiser built like a nemian whale.”

She spun her fighter to prepare for another pass and added, “Red-1 out.”

Watching the lead Shriek tumble off from a glance with an asteroid, Pipka quickly shifts over to the auto blaster

He takes his time to line up his sights just outside the standard range of the weapon system, and unleashes strafing shots across the wing tracking them. His first target veers away from the shots, but collides with a large piece of debris, adding itself to the debris field. Pulling his fire across his next target, landing several hits with deadly accuracy and clipping a third with the end of his salvo.

OOC: Going to allow the others a chance to act but it is safe to say that you will probably survive this. So... if you wish to post on the surface.

Escape via a Ship: The pilot, co-pilot can assist, makes a roll for the ship this is a Hard (3 purple dice) Piloting Space check with two setback due to the weather conditions. If the roll is failed the crew must make a Resilience or Coordination check at Hard (3 purple dice) difficulty or suffer 5 wounds, not soakable and a critical Injury. They are also lost in the Icy Wastes. If the roll succeeds, they land at Echo Base in the next time slot. The ship does not get through unscathed, it suffers 5 hull trauma damage and 5 system strain; if the roll is failed it also suffers a Critical Hit. Armor applies.

Welcome to Hoth. Please make a separate thread on Hoth, for the roll if you so choose or you can wait till combat is done.

Syrian smashed his fist on the console and said, “You had one job!”

He then howled, “Mixo!”

He cleared his throat and then said, “Break off pursuit for now, let us finish this rabble.”

[Screen wipe]

As the ships flee the delaying action the two ships of the Republic and Empire detonate and explode over the planet but thankfully the makeshift squadron bought enough time for the extra supplies to get down to the planet.

OOC: The pirates scatter after the blast from the cruiser.
