Garth had left the Sparrow in the hangar as he headed out on patrol.

"Sometimes, boots on th' ground is th' best approach, but don' tell mah CO ah ever admitted such a blasphemy."

He joked with his companions.

The massive armoured Sith was unreadable thanks to the faceplate. He tapped a few commands into a handheld scanner then hooked it onto his belt.

"I prefer up close and personal." The last few days had done nothing to change his mind about that.

"Let's go see if that earthquake shook anything loose. Something's gotta be eating these tauntauns." Fair play to whatever was. They stank something awful.

As was the other Sith, but not Sith, ensconced in sealed armor. "I'm good for up close as long as they don't see me first."

"How about you two approach the epicenter openly. I'll circle around and see if there's anything that needs to not be spooked immediately."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Sure. That's more my style anyway." Jo'ren unclipped his lightsaber and began moving towards the area that had been most badly affected.

"Suggest you stay behind me Garth. Safest place to be." There was a smirk in his voice. "What's your deal anyway? Scout? Pilot?" From the comment about his CO it had to be speeders or spacecraft.

Garth looks up at the immense Sith. He took care of himself but Jo'ren was in a whole nother class.

"Dispatch driver, blockade runner, now starfighter pilot. If it's got an engine, I can do unholy things in it." He joked as he unclipped his own saber in case things got messy.

"But I got a few other tricks too." He added with a grin.

Luth split off from the group, trying to keep herself hidden, but it was possible that something less than pleasant had spotted her...

Even Garth could hear Luth crunching through the snow as he and Jo'ren moved into position.

Perhaps it was the company he was keeping, or a desire not to appear weak in front of a culture who were known to punish weakness, but when the darkness called, he was tempted and it took all his strength to avoid the temptation.

He noted their search patterns and matched it with his piloting knowledge to pinpoint their location.

"Luth, you're headin' a little off course. Adjust yer position 6 degrees Sou' West."

Jo'ren gave it his best shot, but his attempts to provide appropriate leadership were stymied by a glitch in his communicator. His inspiring words were choppy with static and it sounded more like he was telling them where they could shove their patrol. "Give it your best." Sounded more like "Give it a rest." However, the heightened sense of indignation might actually help keep the others on their toes...

The winds whipped around Garth pulling at his cloak and swallowed the motivational words of Jo'ren.

But this was Baron Garth Thul, first of his name, scourge of the fleet of the White Maw, Ghost squadron alumn, Blue Leader, and best dame swoop racer in 12 systems.

As he charged towards one of the sensor arrays he commando rolled past it coming up with his lightsaber held out to the side, having neatly sheared through the detritus causing the short circuit in the system.

And DAMN! but did he look cool doing it.

Luth finally found her way back around to the others thanks to Garth's directions. "Thanks, Garth. Probably would've ended up wandering the wastes without your directions."

Garth just grinned. "Nah wouldn' let that happ'n. Las' thing ah need is a Sith Lord conscriptin' all the native wildlife." He jokes as a cold shiver runs down his back.

Jo'ren blinked. "Man. You looked cool doing that."

The big Sith moved closer. "Lightsaber huh? You don't strike me as the Jedi type. That's a compliment I guess?" He raised his arms in an expansive gesture of confusion.

"Good work though, I think the sector's clear."

Garth powered the weapon down and srowes it in his leg pocket.

"It were a gift from Senator Mixo, well the casing was anyway." Garth replies

"Sides, not everything in th' galaxy has t' be so black an' white. There's a bunch o' shades of grey."
