She left the base to meet Baras out on the ice sheet, so there'd be no witnesses once she was outside, I'd think? Well, except him and Draagh.

What about the victim?

The victim went out the day before to do a routine check on the sensors network, and never returned they left in the evening of Day 2. Lot of chaos so she was alone at least from the footage probably thinking it would be a quick endeavor.

If Layne admits responsibility/pleads guilty to a charge, then I guess that with regard to that charge, the two sets of advocates don't really have to prove or disprove it adversarially, right? It's already accepted as true, so at most we'd talk a bit about factors for the tribunal to consider when deciding her sentence?

I mean you can't take it home, but they are available for official operations like doing patrols and similar things. You can do renewal on places already done. Preventative maintenance I guess.

The Tl;dr is that Tethys would like to know if the tribunal first wants to decide whether to accept Layne's guilty plea for two of the charges, or whether they want to hear arguments and rule on the espionage charge first.
