The end!

Had a lovely time playing. Was absent for a big chunk in the middle but still felt involved.

Kinda sad closing a book on someone who I’ve played for so long. But he’s at peace and died protecting his friend and children.

Was lovely to connect with all the old Korriban kids and develop the end of the story for Sylvain.

Thanks to DD for the good times. It’s been a wonderful ride over the years. Truly a wonderful campaign with so much effort put into it.

Satisfaction? Yikes… Sylvain was quite the tragic character. Most of his conflicts that would have potentially created satisfaction ultimately ended up in abject failure. Baras’ death was somewhat satisfying even if it was undercut by that little setback of his own death.

Regrets? I’ve had a few. But then again, too few to mention.

There’s a fair amount of unfinished business all around. But at the end, Sylvain was engaged in this almost Quixotic quest to make the Empire not suck so bad. The point wasn’t really to be successful, but follow the quest and do what he could in the time he had left. He probably would have liked to patch things up with his sister and spend his time with his loved ones… but he was also burdened with his ‘quest’.

His immaturity in the early games. Plenty of Sylly moments that I look back on and cringe. He was like 18 or whatever… but he made some stupid choices with people really important to him.

Probably the first Baras fight. He just cut through everyone so easily. It was over so fast. And then Rumun going chaos. The whole thing was nuts.

Umm... love? Luth is giving Arymis his broken lightsaber and belongings.

He's left Arymis in the care of Luth and Addison in the care of her Grandmother Serasai.

Since he got Force Ghosted, I expect him to be around Arymis on her journey going forward. Arymis will probably be going Light side in the future. I don't know what the Republic/Jedi Order looks like going forward but it is likely that she'll be a part of whatever new arrangement works out and on the Light side aligned team.

And since nobody really asked but I am sitting here on my phone during my lunch break... I'll do one for Delmi.

Biggest Satisfaction: Killing the Rist assassins who showed up at the Thul picnic during the Alderaanian coup. Delmi was built to pew and got to do it beautifully once.

Regret: I don't know really. She seemed to piss a bunch of people off... As did Sylvain for that matter I suppose. I guess it's something in the way I write my characters or something. It'd be nice if they had a bit wider appeal.

Unfinished Business: Definitely stuff with Delmi's mother. She owes her mother a favor, which I hope to pay back during the war with the Zakuul. I could see the Cabal and Delmi being like-minded on some endeavor during the war. The other thing would be her relationship with Theron... In theory they are tight... but I don't know if it could have been more than that or not. Maybe with time? I am not too sure.

Self-inflicted: Killing a bunch of people on accident. Did not think that shooting a shield generator would kill a bunch of innocents during the Alderaan game. But... Delmi was resolved to get the job done and did... So...

WTF Moment: Probably when she learned that her mom was the Star Cabal lady from previous games. I thought that was a neat tying of threads that I hadn't seen before. Got me really involved into Alderaan and was a lovely surprise/hook.
