The body of the presumed victim had been brought to the medical bay for an independent autopsy. Part of the defense team couldn't rule out foul play just yet and to be sure they had not missed anything they needed the best they had: Doctor Omandri Rist.

Baesal waited beside the cold storage unit for the prosecution and the expert to come in.

Baes had reached out to him talking about an autopsy regarding the victim in Layne's case. Omandri was all to happy to help out with things and get to the truth in the matter.

He arrived seeing Baesal and nodded "Master Zyn. Is this where the body is stored?"

Tethys is there as well, likewise wanting to know as much as she can of the full truth of the matter. Layne had already confessed, and Tethys had no doubt of her sincerity in that moment—even though she’d gone back on her surrender and escaped, afterward. But Layne had also not been in any state to give details of what had happened, back then.

Omandri nodded and gave a smile to Tethys "Omandri is fine, please." He offered as the body was brought out.

He wasn't a coroner by trade but he had plenty of medical knowledge and more than enough training to do the procedure. He had always thought autopsies were odd they reduced the human body down to a package, a puzzle to be solved. It was cold and detached cataloging things as they happened.

This one was no exception, he had gone in with a mostly fresh mind only having heard a few things here and there about it. He cleanly and skillfully inspected the body but something may have gone amiss.

He nods "always happy to do what I can to help." He says as he begins.

"High energy burns, damage to lungs and heart. Wound is long and straight going through the chest, consistent with a stab of a lightsaber." His voice was detached and analytical as he cut, poked, and proded the corpse.

"Ligature marks around the wrists show that victim was restrained before they were killed. Cell degradation shows the attack happened outdoors and the body was left exposed to the elements." Omandri closed the body back up and looked to those gathered.

"The autopsy shows that the victim was bound and executed by a high energy weapon most likely a lightsaber. This occurred outside and the body remained there until recovered." He summarized as he pulled his gloves off.

''Stabbed...Bound and executed outside.'' Well this certainly proved her hunch ''Does the shape of the wound correspond to a circular blade or a narrowed, edged one. I can lend you my saber if you wish to observe the shape of the blade.''

Tethys looks grim when Omandri confirms the initial report that Lt. Ujips was restrained before her death. Execution, really. “Poor woman,” she says softly.
