The team has arrived at the location that will do the most damage. Bizi waved for them to set the device down and looked it over and said in Ortolan, "Looks simple enough, you cover me and I will set us up the bomb."

The pirates were not prepared and so only a small group arrived, two groups of pirate gunners, their leader and a mercenary hunter killer, dressed in full Mandalorian armor. The area was large office like area with rough hewn floors several tables and crates and lots of portable equipment. There were two ways in and both sides had pirates. The leader was on one side and the merc on the other.
OOC: Cool checks for initiative. Mercenary is Adversary 2 with Defense 2 and Pirate Boss is Adversary 1 with defense 1. They are all at Medium range from them.

OOC: Bizi will go last as he status up the bomb, he can be targeted and it will take three rounds to get the device online. Reinforcements will arrive in five rounds.

Jan raises her new rifle as time seems to slow. It's a sleek weapon, silver and black, bulky but light with a large barrel. A marksman's rifle, accurate and high powered. It is also sporting one singular modification, a sleek white square device attached to the central gas reservoir. A device glowing an angry red.
"Goodbye boys."
She pulls the trigger and the room turns crimson as the weapon vomits a torrent of neon red blaster fire, an entire company's worth of shots unloaded in an instant. Jan appears to be laughingly wildly as she fires, her face lit ominously from below by the sheer volume of fire.
Day 8 Tower of Pain attack round 1, autofire at mercenary average range, true aim and dead-to-rghts maneuver and flipping a destiny: 9eP+1eA+1eB+2eC+1eD+2eS 5 successes, 7 advantage, 1 Triumph

His system flooded him with kolto, it was time to make this kriffing poodoohead pay. Old Zika did not let him down as he fired from cover. If this was his last hurrah, then nerf herder was going with him.
OOC: takes 28 wounds total, still standing. Stim as incidental down to 22 wounds. Takes aim and auto fire enabled on Jan. jan hit for 15, boosted to 20 wounds for first hit, Pierce 2, auto fire enabled for 2 out of 9 and triggers autofire twice, so now 6 out of 9, and critical Injury twice on for total of 8 and boost next ally.

The old merc knew it before he felt it, the cold grasp of death pulling him from this life. It had been a good life, working as young pup on Korriban teaching wanna be Sith how to fight… causing trouble on Nar Shaddaa with a would be Mandalore. To the many months of the Bankor campaign that ended poorly but hey he found his wife there, and even had a son.
He taught the boy how to farm, live a good life, a life he could never have. Sokon the draw of a the merc life pulled him back to Ziost only to watch a Sith kill one of his close friends, someone she thought of as an ally. He vowed to never work in Sith space and spent time doing work on Alderaan but he missed his son, he was a man now and had his own family on Dantooine.
He would have to go there, just one more job and then he could go home.
Just walking through those golden fields, going home.

The pirates fire on Jo’ren in a hail of blaster fire from both sides trying to tear him down in the crossfire, perhaps not as effective as they liked; they do cause him to drop his weapon in the conflict!

With Jan down he knew he needed to hold the Pirates' attention for as long as possible. As the second volley struck him Jo'ren used the brief flash of Pain to call on the force and pull his saber back into his waiting hands. His face mask turned to those who had shot at him, and they felt a moment of fear.

Years ago, Cynella had thought she had understood violence. It was agitating getting concussed, stinging to get sliced, and killing even when justified weighed on the heart. None of that had prepared her for watching all of the weaponry tear people apart.
"Jan!" For all their differences, Cynella would have protected her, regardless of the extent. Now she needed to keep the ortolan alive. "We're all going home soon."
She stood in front of the ortolan, snap drawed her blaster, then fired upon some of the goons. While her weaponry wasn't nearly as impressive, she did manage to land some shots.
