Hoth: Blood and Ice

[Remmington Balmung]

After enjoying a warm meal, Remmington decides to enjoy some tea time. He sips a cup of red tea.

[Dapper Dog]

The Sith was seated enjoying her tea quietly, it was the one time she had for peace and quiet. Seated across from her were her friends... or minions.

Who could tell.

[Remmington Balmung]

Remmington extend polite greetings to the other Sith. "Afternoon Lord Malveaux, Lady Tiss, Lady Viyuti." He otherwise doesn't move to join them as they seem to be enjoying tea as well.

[Dapper Dog]

"Lord Balmung, welcome. You may sit with us, you have my leave to do so," Drascovina answered.

[Remmington Balmung]

"My thanks Lord Malveaux." Remmington moves over and joins them at the table.

"I am glad to see you are all well. Under these circumstances and everything."

[Dapper Dog]

"Are you always this bright?" she responded.

[Remmington Balmung]

"I try to stay positive." Remmington answers as he drinks his tea.

[Dapper Dog]

"Of course you do," she said calmly. "Well I should not throw stones at your glass home, it seems to work for you."

[Remmington Balmung]

"How are holding up so far? Things have been relatively quiet with the pirates so far but one side or the other will probably make a move sometime soon." He asks.

[Dapper Dog]

Tiss chimed in and said, "Which is boring, someone should do something... crash a ship into their palace. Challenge a pirate king to a duel. Train the goats to be a ruthless cavalry. Something."

[Remmington Balmung]

"We don't really have ships to spare on a fiery hello. Someone will probably have to convince Pipka to train the goats like that." Remmington comments.

"There will probably be some action going down in Junktown soon enough."

[Dapper Dog]

"Really, like what?" she asked.

[Remmington Balmung]

"Busting in to free some slaves. Maybe cause a ruckus while we're at it. Course they'll probably beef up the defenses after that." Remmington comments.

[Dapper Dog]

"Why risk ourselves for useless slaves?" she replied.

[Remmington Balmung]

"If nothing else it is an opportunity to kill pirates, which fulfills our mission parameters. It does earn us some good faith with the Republic in this truce until we complete out mission." He answers.

[Dapper Dog]

"You are the good soldier boy, doing as told," she said with a mock salute.


"The sooner we are done with this place the better, this bloody cold is not agreeable with my skin regimen," she added.

[Remmington Balmung]

"We all can only do what we can." Remmington replies to Tiss.

He nods to Drascovina. "It's important to stay warm and maintain your health. We'll be back before you know it."

[Dapper Dog]

"Who are you, what is the story of the brightest Sith?" she asked. "You are too... nice, it bothers me."

[Remmington Balmung]

"Oh, I haven't had to tell me backstory in a while... or more that most people don't bother asking." Remmington replies before recalling he just did that recently.

"Well long story short, I come from a Fallen House that was all but destroyed by the time I was a child. My ancestor who founded aforementioned House was the #2 in the Empire at the time. Though our House never produced anyone near that level of power since then. So I struggled to survive and keep my head down less anyone wanted to put the final nail in the coffin. Being a downer all the time really drags you down so I just aimed for the best of a situation. I guess it helps not standing out at all when you're just average in a class of amazing talent." He sips his tea.

"Does that satisfy your curiousity Lady Tiss? I apologize that there is not much I can do about your discomfort."

[Dapper Dog]

"You do realize that you are about as far from a dark lord of the Sith as one can get right?" she replied. "You make puppies look absolutely dastardly."

[Remmington Balmung]

"There are some predators that use bait or bare an attractive appearance in order to lure in their prey." Remmington comments.

"Though more seriously, yes, I guess you may say that I am an outlier."

[Dapper Dog]

“Your ancestor who was second in the Empire back when sand was cool must be proud,” she said with a smile.

“And you are not a predator, Lord Balmung, you might be strong but you are not a hunter. You care too much, about others, about how others perceive you… you wish to be liked. It’s amusing, but also transparent.”


“Relax Tiss, let him be,” Viyuti interjected.

[Remmington Balmung]

Remmington waves off and corrects the statement. "I meant that the puppies are more sinister than they appear." Maybe he had a bad experience with dogs?

[Dapper Dog]

"So you are more menacing than you appear?" she inquired.

[Remmington Balmung]

Remmington shakes his head. "No one has ever said that about me."
