Hoth: Blood and Ice

The base was in sight.

They had taken damage but nothing the brave little moth could not handle.

Smooth deceleration could be felt until the engine's soft singing stopped, making it clear they were safe.

For now at least

The Togruta pulled herself from her console

''Well done R5. You have earned you oil bath''

"Whooo," Breela exclaimed before unbuckling her seat. "Well done Baes!" She calls at an appropriate volume. "Jubbers, you holding in there?" She gets up and slings her pack on, then grabs both the duffle and the other bag. "We need to move, get some power on. It also might be a good idea to assume we're the first ones here and get to scouting."

"Well dine. Let's hope everyone else was as fortunate." Galen said. "That's not a storm anyone should be out in for long."

''Indeed'' she replied to both Breela and Galen ''We need to move but we need to do it with a clearly sight of where we are going. Slipping, litteraly and figuratively, could prove truly disastrous.''

She turned to the sensors

''We seem to be in an old hangar of some sort.'' she scratched the back of her head ''I'll open the iris door in the cargo...Galen, can I ask you take point? I do not know what everyone here can do but I think you might be the better suited for that.''

She turns to Breela

''You can leave the bags here for now. They'll be safe as long as we can make sure the ship is safe...also we'll need you ready to break jaws if any hostiles followed us here.''

"Of course."

Most of his gear had not been unpacked, but he had his saber if he needed it. Stepping outside, he looked around.

"Seems safe enough. Looks like everyone's focused on their own ships for now."

Four followed Galen outside, vibroblade in hand. "No hostile contacts on scanners," she noted after a moment.

She looks at her gear and thinks for a second. A minute later and she's ready to go. "Ready."

She'll follow along outside and stand by.

''Thank you'' she said to all

Once the situation has been confirmed she left the sensors to join the group outside, adjusting her scanner goggles.

''Cold, but tolerable for now.'' she commented, observing what was going on ''Anyone managed to take stock of the battle? I would like to confirm if the pirates were fighting both our forces and the empire's''

Jub'lub adjusted his lap belt, which had dug into him in very uncomfortable areas during the frantic landing, but he was alright. "Nothing a hot broth won't cure. The force guides my sight, trust in the force for it guides us all."

Jub'lub obeyed the captain and let his backpack stay in storage for now, but he wouldn't be getting to far from the ship without it. Twi'lek blood ran hot and he knew the cold would cut through him like a crimson saber should he be exposed too long. He followed the two men who had taken point, readying his hikt in his hands just in case a foe had unkowingly landed with them.

"Baesel Zyn, excellent touch down. For this, you are owed one."

''I was only the co-pilot'' she replied with humility to he fellow jedi ''R5-T8 is the real MVP here''

She observed the situation once more

''We should remain careful but I think we can move out with the gear we want to carry.''

She checked to see if everyone was okay with this

"I'm pretty sure they were targeting both sides." Galen said. "It was clearly a trap, but I think it was for all of us."

"I'm afraid I didn't notice much at all." Breela said. "Talk about a coincidence though, for us and the Sith to arrive at the same time."

As they progress she'll be looking for supplies to add to our reserves.

''Yes...I concur with Galen. It was a trap for both Empire and Republic. I do wonder how pirates might have managed to achieve such a feat.''

She picked up some stuff of her own

''I see imperial uniforms...hugh...Let's see if there are people we can help''
