He looked into her eyes and smiled.

There was more in those eyes than could be expressed in words…

And then the warm sensation faded… the visage dissipated… and Luth was alone in the cockpit… though her amulet now held a faint glow around her neck.

She smiled to herself a little, fingers lightly resting on the amulet.

She began preparing the Nighthawk for takeoff again, feeling lighter. Once she was done, she would go talk to Arymis.

It would be okay.
