Hoth: Blood and Ice

[Rumun Gol]

'' Well, well. This kinda bring me back memories. '' The tall alien that was around the ship finally decided to appear. '' It is Korriban all over again, so it seems.'' Rumun commented sarcastically.

'' Different circumstances, and selection of teams, we could even had thrown a reunion party.''

Luth pulls a couple of thermoses out of storage as they strapped in offering them. "Alcoholic." She lifted one. "Just tea." She lifted the other. "Pick whichever you like. I'll leave them nearby." Looking to Syl she added. "I got into your tea supplies. Figured you could both use the warmth."

With those where they needed to be, she settled into her seat. "Worlds being destroyed and stuff?"

Sylvain acknowledged Rumun's comment with a nod.

"Thank you. Something warm would be lovely. That foresight of yours comes in quite handy..." He said with an exhausted smirk followed by a fit of coughing.

"It's hard to tell exactly what... But we believe it is somehow tied to the old Emperor... some lingering reverberation. Whether living or not."

[Layne Hoshin]

Layne would take the alcohol, sitting there quietly, unable to project that calm Jedi masters were supposed to be known for. Not that she'd ever truly been able to, but she was having a particularly hard time of it right now.

She looked up at some point, seeing the holo of Yavin. Yet more reminders. Loss. Failure. Connectedness. Fate.

Her eyes lingered on it, almost unblinking. Taking seemingly no note of the blue alien's arrival, whom she might not even recognize anyway to be honest if he hadn't mentioned being a Korriban alumni.

Layne would take the alcohol, sitting there quietly, unable to project that calm Jedi masters were supposed to be known for. Not that she'd ever truly been able to, but she was having a particularly hard time of it right now.

She might not had recognized him, but Rumun certainly did recognize her. '' My Lady Hoshin. It has been a while.'' He said to her, approaching. '' We hadn't seen each other since, hmmm, Nar Shaddaa?'' He adds. '' Glad to seeing you well, you know, after that situation with the ship and all and a certain Dark Lord.'' He commented to her while looking around for something...

'' But no matter, past is the past i guess. Are you in need of warmth? I think i have a spare thermal cloak that you could use...''

[Darth Bellious]

"The Dragon and his unleashed issue, hmm?" Moyr decided to cut the chase a bit. Her gaze was also on Yavin, but it seemed to be filling her features with vibrant glow.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain turned to Moyr, "The Dragon...? A term you are familiar with?"

[Rumun Gol]

'' It would seem that this Dragon, might have some sort of connection with the recent disturbance of the Force.'' Rumun interjected. '' I'm not particularly versed on it, but even i had felt some changes in the fabric of it.'' He adds without taking the oportunity from Moyr to explain her own version of it.

[Layne Hoshin]

She was slow to move her gaze away from it to look at Rumun, saying nothing; only pointing to the thermal cloak that hung from her own black armor. Her gaze was soon drawn over to her other old classmate though, upon mention of the Dragon.

Did *everyone* know? What had even been the point of their excursion then? Other than that one thing, anyway.

Sylvain turned to Moyr, "The Dragon...? A term you are familiar with?"

"The entity we are somewhat all familiar with to one extent or another. I find it disingenuous to play mind games over which details to hide on this as the threat is very much shared and existential. I gleaned a few things about the plan he wanted to enact and now tries to pull off anyway through his progeny."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain nodded, "The very same... He has progeny?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"If the Sith could be trusted to recognize an existential threat and handle it appropriately," she responded to Moyr's words, "we wouldn't have had such a hard time convincing *any* of you that the emperor was going to kill everything, you all included. Honestly, the fact Zash and the Wrath must've found anyone willing to listen without trying to just screw us all over was nothing short of a miracle."

[Darth Bellious]

"Don't be petty, Layne. You're better than that. When we were making past calls we didn't have present insight. And Zash wasn't exactly my role model."

[Luth Khalan]

"I think Layne is accurate," she agreed. "But then, both sides have their blind spots. Working alone isn't going to work."

[Darth Bellious]

"Male twins, if my vision is not misguided. One in white, the other in black. Sent to destroy the Empire and the Republic."

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain mired in thought for a moment, recalling what he could from his visions, "Two brothers... I know nothing of the brothers. I saw but only one throne. An Eternal Throne atop an Eternal Empire... Coming to destroy the Empire he abandoned it for."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Zash is part of the reason you're still alive," she said, definitely being petty about it at least a little, "messed up as that is to say. You can't blame me for the fact that *her* of all people being one of only a *handful* of Sith able to set aside their petty ambitions to do something that benefits others for a change, makes me a more than a little skeptical about the rest."

She shut up about it though, when talk of twins came.

[Rumun Gol]

'' Not to be blunt, but does it matter? I mean surely most creatures want to live and continue to live on, yet both the Empire and the Republic are corrupt carcasses.'' He added without flinching. '' Whether he brings destruction to life or the downfall of the Empire and the Republic, what is the difference?'' He asked honestly.

'' What makes it such different than the Republic and the Empire which have been out of each other throats for, i don't know, centuries before we were even born? Petty squables that have caused millions of deaths.''

Rumun was not innocent of course, he didn't care about casualties, but he was trying to see what each other saw so detrimental about the Emperor, even when the Empire and the Republic had been doing the same for centuries, even after the Emperor's fall.

[Zeno Thul]

Zeno's voice came on over the linked comms. "Rumun's got it. Doesn't matter what governments survive. Let the Republic and Empire burn. But keep the people important to you alive. If that means working with others and building something new to fight a new enemy then that's what we need to do."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Do you people even *know* what he tried to do?" She asked, exasperated by Rumun's question and Zeno's addition.

"He wasn't going to just destroy the republic or empire, he was going to *sterilize* the entire galaxy! No sentient life anywhere except his own, and maybe this other empire of his. You're *honestly* telling me you don't see a damned difference?"

[Luth Khalan]

"I agree," she said. "I'm not going to the lengths I have to protect people just to have a parasite in the Force kill everything. There's a serious difference."

[Rumun Gol]

"Do you people even *know* what he tried to do?" She asked, exasperated by Rumun's question and Zeno's addition.

"He wasn't going to just destroy the republic or empire, he was going to *sterilize* the entire galaxy! No sentient life anywhere except his own, and maybe this other empire of his. You're *honestly* telling me you don't see a damned difference?"

'' Well if that is true, then why even have children? According to Lord Bellious' vision, which i believe.'' Rumun asked to Layne. '' If sterilization was his plan all along, it sounds like a contradiction to had children, which are living creatures...'' He adds.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain nodded, "Layne is right. The Emperor is several degrees of separation above any calamity we perceive... This is not a philosophical or political difference. It is a real and present practical threat to all of us. To bow to the Dragon... is to accept your own extinction. There is no moral equivalency here... The worst of both Republic and Empire are child's play before the Emperor..."

[Zeno Thul]

"I see a difference. I just don't care if the empire or republic collapse. The important thing is using whatever tools and allies you can to survive. He was trying to kill everyone, people worked together to end the threat. He's still lingering? I don't care about what group people want to be a part of, let's just deal with the threat. I don't want life to end, I'm a life, that would be dumb. But I honestly don't care what organizations collapse."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He then turned to Rumun, "The preservation of one's Legacy is the greatest expression of self-service there is... It provides contingency in case of unforeseen circumstances..."

He then turned to the group, "Ones that may have been enacted upon him on Ziost."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Worked together and *failed*," she said, "All we did was turn him even more immortal than he already was."
