Downtime
Echo Base becomes more of a home with the over the next twenty days, but tensions run high as a Republic Communications Officer, Lt. Henley Ujips, has gone missing and no one can find her body. There is also some concern over the disappearance of a Jedi Master Layne Hoshin and some Sith named Shyyyo. But the tight quarters means that there are many minor incidents between the two groups but thanks to positive examples on both sides there seems to be a general feeling of camaraderie between the Imperial and Republic members.
Operation Star Beagle: The morning after the third day on Hoth for the expedition Senator Saresh and Darth Baras organizes a desperate gamble to get a warning out to the Republic and Empire, they choose the Star Beagle, a fast ship to break the blockade and get word of a possible invasion from an alien force. The mission is successful but costly with three ships being lost in a delaying endeavor while the Star Beagle slipped out.
Eternal Empire: it was never going to stay secret for long, both sides have built up some information on this new threat and even perhaps imminent invasion. What is known is that this Empire called Zakuul was ruled by an Emperor Valkorian who has gone missing presumed dead, his tin sons are powerful Force users who seem intent on invading both Republic and Imperial space. It is a highly advanced society dominated by humans. A more immediate threat is a woman named Vaylin who may be on Hoth and currently considered to be in league with the pirates, though unclear.
Odd Jobs: Those involved with Miss Calculation are given tasks to complete around Hoth gathering data, doing recon on certain locations acquiring codes, uniforms, or other odds and ends. Some fail, others succeed and those that can’t cut it fall away or die.
The Odd Droid: C5-PT continues to wander the base having discussions and apparently observing for the Gree sometimes making requests for patrols to go to this location or that but nothing as significant as the droid that was encountered. Still whatever the Gree want, they seem to be quiet about it for now.
Smaller Things: Over the time Viyuti and to a lesser extent, Tiss, spend more time discussing philosophy and ideology with the Jedi and sometimes the good Doctor, usually just Vityuti but sometimes both.
The pirates have stayed away from the Ortolan Power Station ever since they were thoroughly routed by the forces of Echo Base. Power has flowed well besides a two day stint where a blockage plunged the base into near darkness and it was a rough two days trying to keep the plants and animals alive in hydroponics.
Finally the Jedi gather and attempt to send a message to the Jedi Council through the Force it's a gamble, and they can't be sure if it was received but they feel confident that their efforts will bear fruit.
