You can use Dark side to heal, it causes conflict when used on others as the Dark Side tends to be more about self preservation but it is possible. All the other limits apply and injuries Healed with dark side energy tend to leave scar tissue as you force the body to mend at an unnatural pace.

You get the most use out of it Light Side though, but you can do the most Basic Heal with Dark.
