[Thy Yulani]

Thy Yulani is a Jedi Master on the Jedi Council, though she spends little of her time on Tython and is often in the field on assignment. She is nearly the same age as Grand Master Satele Shan, but was frozen in carbonite since the Sith invasion of Korriban, about fifteen years ago or so. Since then, she has returned to her duties, often taking big risks early in her career. The last seven to eight years have seen her become more contemplative and calmer in her approach to the Force.

She still relies on her intuition but balances that with a great deal of patience and understanding. Well liked and respected, she has grown into the role of Jedi Master and enjoys being a guiding force for her peers. At the same time, she does not try to separate herself or look down on others. She is a steady hand but when called to action is decisive and unpredictable in her approaches.

Hooks

• She is a Jedi Master and has inscrutable wisdom born from many good and bad experiences.
• Recently she spent time on Alderaan and helped avert a coup, and before that spent time in the Outer Rim and even was on Nar Shaddaa during the Peace Talks over a decade ago.
• Chill and relaxed presence, she has a very hands off approach to leadership.

[Darth Baras]

Darth Baras is well known figure within the Sith Empire, a schemer, liar, and betrayer extraordinaire and yet like many things you wish to get rid of, he remains and survives. This Sith Lord thrives in the chaos of transition and has used the years since the death of the previous Emperor to ingratiate himself into the new regime. Taking on the trappings of a mystic, preaching the divine words of the new Sith Order. His enemies, and even the few that feign friendship, suspect his conversion is false but he fakes it with such fervor that none dare question him.

That and Darth Baras surrounds himself with powerful Sith enforcers if any wish to challenge him and is a powerful dark side master. His current role within the Empire is one of an ambassador advocating for the Empress and Empress Regent, smoothing over issues within the Empire with words, with fear, or with daggers in the back. He is the de facto head of the Imperial delegation but understands that no true Sith would bow to another so he makes room to share the load with those of comparable, though he would never accept as equal, station.

• He is a dark lord of the Sith, that is not a title given out lightly.
• Darth Baras has many enemies, maybe you are one of them, or aspire to be one of them?
• Has a taste for delicious food, especially fried foods and burgers.

[Leontyne Saresh]

Leontyne Saresh is by her nature a fighter, and behind that scrappy nature is ambition to be a leader within the Galactic Republic. Se is a well-known politician and has involved herself with risky operations from aiding the liberation of Bankor to leading the restoration of Taris. She is unapologetic in her pursuit of her ambitions, which often can rub some the wrong way, but she is rarely caught idle and keeps on moving.

She has a reputation of being a war-hawk and advocates an aggressive stance towards the Empire and is quick to blame them publicly for the issues that the Republic suffers. She often likes to use the destruction of Coruscant and the Jedi Temple there as a rallying cry to resist Sith Imperial oppression. This makes her fairly popular with the general populace, but her critics claim she inflames people to anger and tends to use their fears to progress her agenda.

As a person she can be personable and even pleasant has a chameleon like nature that allows her to shift to become whatever is needed in the moment. Some may see this as duplicitous but, in her eyes, it is just a way to accommodate and integrate with new people and build consensus. She isn’t so much faking pleasantries as she is trying to accommodate all the varied folks of the Republic and build coalitions where others see chaos. A strength she showed on Taris and Bankor, to name a few operations.

• Senator Saresh is a dynamic woman and is always looking to attach rising stars to her coalition.
• Dislike or even hate the Empire, you have a friend in Senator Saresh.
• Some say she has forgotten her roots but she has a soft spot for those that find themselves under the boots of tyrants and seek freedom.

[Kassi Fett]

Born into the ways of the Mandalorian, Kassi Fett was on the path to become a warrior and mercenary but a chance encounter with an angry Sith and Imperial soldiers changed her course forever. The slaughter that followed of her family and her escape with a smuggler into Republic space would leave her with deep scars and a cold anger against the evils of the Empire and a subtle rejection of her heritage.

Now in her mid-thirties, she has served in the Republic Armed Forces for nearly two decades and her service has been on the most part honorable and exemplary. She is an experienced infantryman with experience on dozens of worlds in a variety of terrains and situations. She sees things through a lens of the military and that colors her personality to be a bit terse and taciturn. She is loyal to her comrades but rarely grows close bonds outside of that, a side effect of losing many allies along the way to enemy actions. Despite that she has a strong sense of right and wrong and has butted heads when it came to situations where she was forced to act against her moral convictions.

Hooks

• Kassi is an officer in the Republic Armed Forces, Sergeant Major, and is skilled in hand to hand combat and ground combat with small arms.
• She believes that the Republic military is a force for the greater good and if she sees injustice will seek to stamp it out.
• While she has a distinct distaste for Mandalorians ad the Empire, her immediate ire is drawn to the pirates and their actions against the people of the Republic.

[Bozr Thesk]

Bozr was a soldier in his past though not for the Republic or the Empire but a smaller world or state but at some point, struck out on his own after his term of service was completed. The Mercenary life is dangerous but lucrative and has allowed him to fund his own ship, the high-tech Vestige, and build a small but loyal crew.

He came to Hoth to support the Republic mission for as long as the credits keep flowing. Bozr is known to be professional and capable. Like many in his career path, his past is checkered and incomplete and it is most likely the name he uses is an alias again not uncommon in his line of work. Rumors among the soldiers is that Bozr is here on some secret mission from the Senate or working directly for the Senator but there is little evidence to support that claim.

Hooks

• Bozr Thesk has been seen in the company of Senator Saresh, which lends some credence that he might be working for her in some kind of capacity.
• Bozr has an interest in the White Maw pirates, or at least has shown interest to those that have spoken to him.
• The Vestige is a classy ship and obviously highly modified, the crew must be very successful or well backed.

[Lord Draahg]

Lord Draahg has served in around some of the most powerful Sith Lords in the Empire. He was present on Ziost when the Emperor died and even bears the mental scars of that ordeal. A quiet man, he is handsome and introspective in his approach to the Dark Side and life. In this new Sith Empire he has attached himself to Darth Baras as an enforcer and aide, a role that suits him as it allows him to be in the background.

Well trained in the Sith Arts, Lord Draahg can seem an oddity with his quiet servitude. He does not revel in the violence like many of his peers and even can show, or more accurately feign, compassion. Despite that he is Sith and is no stranger to cruelty, malice, and cold-blooded murder when needed. He has no great love for what the Empire is becoming but he does not feel greatly compelled to voice his opinion on the matter.

Squeaky wheels in the Empire tend to get beheaded.

Hooks

• Lord Draahg is a Sith you might be able to speak with and not get a glare or veiled threat from, he is amicable.
• Looking to speak with Darth Baras, you will probably need to go through Lord Draahg as the gatekeeper.
• Evil and malice never looked so good or has such nice abs.

[Qozaiym Zholyeva]

Born as a slave on Ziost she found her freedom at an early age, her acumen at military stratagem and intelligence were not to be overlooked. She had been given role in a noble’s household and even at an early age she showed a high acumen that they could not beat out of her. The choice to have her educated would prove to be fortuitous as she would prove to be a skilled soldier and eventual officer tin the Imperial War Machine.

While the Sith are attributed with the destruction of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, she was the brilliant mind behind orchestrating the ground invasion, although it angered a few Moffs that their plans were considered subpar, she is a model soldier which makes her a bit of a renegade refusing to play the games of politics which may be why she has yet to move up to the rank of Moff. She adheres to the Darth Marr school of thought and thought highly of the Steel Valkyrie before she was cut down.

This new Empire… well it unsettles her but she has sworn her loyalty but all the mysticism and ritual is a bit much for her. But she does enjoy the division between the Sith and the military, no more must she fear that her troops will be pawns in the games of the cruel and uncaring Sith.

She is a tall woman in good shape in her early forties, dark hair with a few scars and strong build. She is skilled in ground combat in all forms but excels in strategy and logistics and leading massed forces. She is steely eyed and calm, and rarely moved to bursts of emotion.

Hooks

• The General cares about her troops and values them, even when she must sacrifice them for the good of the Empire. She does her best to remember every face at a minimum if not their names.
• She is a self appointed force to keep Darth Baras in check, she bows to his wisdom but is not afraid to give her advice, wanted or not.
• She respects the Sith but puts her faith in the brave soldiers of the Empire.
