The White Maw are more a loose confederation of pirates bound together by strong leadership who promise the ne’er-do-wells great spoils and easy riches. They operate under the banner of the White Maw and give he impression of a single unified organization but the group is fairly fluid in structure with bosses coming and going all the time. Currently three of the strongest leaders have worked out a semi-equitable relationship that keeps the pirates working together and unified versus outside threats.

What was a minor nuiscance in the outer regions has become a major threat to trade and commerce for both the Empire and Republic and any ship unable to pay their exorbitant protection fees or seems weak. They utilize advanced tactics in battle, especially in space and are not afraid to strike hardened targets.

They operate out of Hoth with many of their core leadership centered around the massive spacecraft graveyard and the make shift pirate enclave of Junktown. The current leadership has the trust and devotion of the pirates as much as one can trust a pirate anyways.
