Jan calmly pulls out her disruptor rifle and opens the speeder's door to give her a comfortable firing position, wind and ice whipping around her as she hums tunelessly, zeroing in on the pirates.

At the 'stupid or have a deathwish' part she waves merrily at their leader.

Kat seemed to be comfortable taking the lead here, for now the doctor simply looked about noting positions of ortolan captives and pirates strategizing in case this went south fast.

Pipka looks around to identify targets on the outside of the group where might be able to fully unleash the flechettes from his shots without putting Ortolans in the line of fire and positions himself in the speeder so he could exit away from the crowd and keep cover between him and the hostiles.

"Listen I'm not trying to intimidate you guys, I'm not a scary guy and you're all a lot of scary looking pirates. I'm more looking to see if we can reach an understanding where you leave the Ortolans alone but we can all walk away happy. They clearly don't want to pay for protection and have asked for help. We want to reach a compromise if possible." He tried to explain carefully. He wasn't lying he wasn't a very intimidating guy.

The pirates listen and begin laughing at the less than intimidating nature of Omandri. The blizzard didn't help either but they got the gist and were not impressed. The leader spoke up, “Alright we’ll put that kriff you spouted on your tombstone.”

The immortal dove for cover, behind a vehicle the rest of the pirate hoope and holler as they get ready for battle. There are vehicles and other things about in this village plus plenty of building to hide behind for cover.

OOC: Omandri is at Short after move, Pirates at Medium to Kataryzna and Long to the other two back at the vehicles and such. Immortal is Adversary 3 and Defense 1, Pirate Flamer is Adversary 1, 6 groups of 3 of minions. The minions are spread out enough to avoid blasts hitting more than one Minion group.

Immortal uses Triumph to get behind Cover. The Blizzard makes all ranged attacks one step greater in range, so short becomes medium and so on. Will flip Destiny if Immortal or Pirate Flamer are attacked.

It was a ridiculously hard shot, long range, a blizzard, a moving target in cover.

Still, you don't get paid to hit the easy shots, do you?

Day 3 LA, round 1 shooting at the immortal, counts as extreme range from blizzard, 3 difficulty upgrades from adversary and one from destiny flip, defense 1. Sniper shot also upgrades difficulty once. Jan will true aim and spend destiny, accur-strike for : 8eP+3eB+4eC+1eD 0 successes, 3 advantage

The Immortal drew his second weapon and was now dual wielding two blaster pistols seeing as Omandri was the closest he took aim and fired! He was accurate even in the blizzard as the ortolans began panicking at the burgeoning fire… it had not reached any vital systems or fuel lines… but give it time.

One bolt glances off the shield but another lands square in his side. Omandri grimaced quickly grabbing a stim from his pouch and injecting it.

He then ran up to the immortal "Could of done this the easy way!" He said before jumping and punching the pirate leader in the face with the immortal off balance Omandri executed a flurry of quick pointed strikes to the neck, chest and arms targeting the man's nerve clusters.

The pirates shout and train their fire on the man that toppled their leader. One his a fuel leak and creates a blazing wall of fire several meters high cutting a swath through the village, hissing with the snow drift from the blizzard.

The concentrated fire reveal aging plasti-steel that blows out from underneath Omandri sending him tumbling down into an access tunnel some three meters down filled with hissing pipes and equipment.

Meanwhile a shuttle lands in front of a group of pirates closest to where the Immortal fell.

OOC: So this will be odd. I am going to assume that with Destiny spend they all miss? Using Advantage and one Triumph to create a wall of fire between the groups, it is at Short Omandri behind him and at short to Kat, this obscures the group from those further back than Medium.

Two triumph for some fun with Omandri, fall into a access tunnel below. Two triumph for landing shuttle. Lots of misses from nimblle dodges I assume.

Pipka watched as mayhem was unleashed. At the provocation of the pirate leader, Jan takes a shot from the distance, but strikes a fuel tank behind the leader. The masked leader shot his newest friend Omandri (who seems perfectly fine somehow), then Omandri punched the sense out of him. The pirates started firing like mad at Omandri but he just kind of dodged all the blaster shots, but they did set off the fuel from the tank Jan had shot, which then exploded and Omandri fell into some kind of a pit (hopefully still fine).

Admist it all, a shuttle touched down, likely to exfil the pirate leader. Well, not if Pipka had anything to say about it. He calmly steps out of the Rabbit and sets his flechette launcher against it to steady his aim. After breathing out, Pipka squeezes the trigger and the durasteel canister flies true, exploding just before striking the shuttle, spreading into a cloud of durasteel darts that shred the shuttle to pieces and set off a chain of explosions as various components and munitions aboard are breached.

Pipka turns to Jan and gives her a thumbs up and a big grin that is currently obscured by his helmet.

“Who the kriff are these guys?” one of the pirates muttered. Thankfully he thought to bring Old Betsy… he kissed the old girl.

Ten years and she never let him down. He took aim, “Goodbye little guy!” The rocket missed but it had a target and already started to swing around.

"Damn it Betsy, you were the chosen one, you were supposed to kill that nerf herder not miss him!"

The inferno in front of her made her lose direct visual of Omandri. And Kat was going to be damned if they didn't all make it back today. Her lightsaber was in her hand and the green blade ignited with a snap-hiss sound, and taking a second to center herself to the movements of the Force in this very moment, she dashed through the fire unscathed.

Kat held her lightsaber out to the side in a ready pose, regarding her surroundings now. The lightsaber was a clear signal of what she was - these pirates stood no chance if they insisted on continuing this. "Think this gives them the message?" she asked over the com to the others, also hoping that Omandri would respond to it.

Kat continued her advance towards those not fleeing yet, picking up the pace towards the one equipped with what seemed to be a flamer of sorts. Her purpose was not to kill him, but rather to engage him to keep him occupied from going after the others, and as she went in with a threatening swing of her saber, she looked back at the wall of fire. Her armored hand reached out towards it, drawing upon the forces of the blizzard to move more of the snow around to quell the flames.
