I can at least confirm it would be an obscure rule if so. As I understand the system is designed with that "true to purpose" slant, and assumes you'll take a bit of conflict here and there.
So rather than give your drip of light side a potential benefit it's just a goal to gain as little conflict (per session) as possible.
As far as system design is concerned that is!

Yes, there isn't any as written, unless it's hidden in a splatbook somewhere as an optional rule. I just peeked, since I do have the book here! (Due to RPG Book Logic, conflict rules are split between three different chapters because of course they are.)

Not that if affects me, but more out of curiosity since there seems to be confusion with Conflict for the Dark Side folks.
The rules of Korriban is in effect for the Sith characters, so that petting puppies and being nice is something that gives Conflict and moves the closer to the Light (possibly)? Basically it's reversed of what it's like for Light Side Force users?
