Hoth: Blood and Ice

[Aphr Ahaya]

"And as always rather than seeing the trap everyone walks into it willingly" Aphr said, a small chuckle escaping "like mice attracted by the smell of cheese. Why do we do this? It's so silly isn't it."

[Galen Panteer]

"Well, that is the way traps are meant to work." he shrugged. "The prey doesn't recognize it until it's too late. Unless it's an acklay."

[Aphr Ahaya]

There was a laugh at that.

"So we're Acklays as we know it's a trap? I'm too small to be an Acklay you know. Also nowhere near as mean."

[Galen Panteer]

"We're both survivors, though and we've both grown stronger." he smiled. "Did your visions contain anything that focused on you specifically?"

[Aphr Ahaya]

"On me?"

Aphr looked thoughtful, before shaking her head.

"Not me. At least not at the moment, it was only recently that it really showed anyone. The two men and an empty throne. Both men were shaved head humans but there wasn't anything else really about them."

[Galen Panteer]

"I won't pretend that I know anything about prophecy, but it seems to me that if you don't see yourself, than you are likely an observer to these events." he suggested. "You may not have a direct role in them, at least not the way they are meant to unfold."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"My favourite place is event adjacent instead of front and centre, so this is acceptable" Aphr commented with a smile "the throne is the part I'd like to understand most. Who's throne is it? The throne being empty, two people there...maybe to fight over it, I don't know."

[Galen Panteer]

"It certainly sounds important." he agreed. "Your visions may depend on who sits on it."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I wonder if it depends on which man it is. Maybe that's the deal, one is more attuned to light and one to dark, and the one that takes it is the one that decides the direction? It's a bit much to assume based on nothing but with the other visions having one star of pure light, one of pure dark and one of...no idea, something very unsure" Aphr shrugged "it kinda feels like that."

[Galen Panteer]

"We definitely need to learn more." he agreed. "I suppose., if the future was clear, there would be no changing it."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"The vision of us being killed on Nar Shaddaa was quite clear even if the exact time and place were not" Aphr offered with a smile "these are not as clear as that was yet, so there is still time."

[Galen Panteer]

"That's true." he grinned. "Now we just need to figure out what to do. Can't be as hard as predicting what my kids will do."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I wonder how many people attuned to the Force have used it to try and predict what their kids will do" Aphr said with a chuckle "tell me about them? I'd love to hear more."

[Galen Panteer]

"Azaria is nearly 4 years old." he smiled. "Full of energy and questions and mischief. Collen isn't quite a year old yet. He's crawling about, getting into trouble of his own.""

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Full of questions huh? I can't imagine where she gets that from" Aphr said with a grin "after all this maybe I can visit? If it's uncomfortable I can avoid mentioning the...well, you know, Sith stuff. I can just say I'm a friend. My saber is easy to hide too, you can't even see it under this cloak!"

[Galen Panteer]

"It isn't an issue." he shook his head. "Not unless you were to present yourself as a threat. Zeno is married to a Duchess of House Thul. Lana Beniko is a friend of my wife. I would love to have you visit."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I don't think I could be a threat even if I tried to look scary" Aphr said with a chuckle "comapared to sith like Jo'Ren I still look like a child myself. Plus I'm much happier not being a threat, it's a lonely life if you act like a threat and just push everyone away."

[Galen Panteer]

"Agreed." he nodded. "I'm sure the kids would love you. They can wear you out quickly, though."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"It's ok, I'm still a bundle of energy myself" Aphr said with a laugh, finishing her hot chocolate before putting the cup down "I'm glad you're doing well Galen. I'm...I'm sorry I kind of vanished. There never was a time that I could find a way to contact you and you move around a lot. Then my life became a whole whirlwind of moving and learning and..." she sighed "I'm sorry."

Setting his own cup down, he reached out and pulled her into another hug.

"It's alright. We both needed to find our way. I'm just very happy to see you. To see you're safe and well."

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr hugged him. Tightly, or as tight as the little Twi'lek could.

"Do you remember our promise on Nar Shaddaa?"

[Galen Panteer]

"We aren't enemies." he assured her. "I don't think were even on opposing sides, really.
Just different ones."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I never thought we were enemies, I just wondered if you remembered it. Even if we were on opposing sides, I don't consider you an enemy. You're my dear brother" Aphr said, a smile on her face "I would hope you don't ever consider me opposing or an enemy. I'm not...like that."

[Galen Panteer]

"That promise still holds." he assured her. "I don't ever want to be your enemy. I'll always be your brother."

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Good, I don't want you to be my enemy" Aphr said with a smile, finally letting Galen go "and do keep in contact while we're here. If you go out hunting and get eaten by an Ackley I'll be so angry with you. And confused as to how the hell you got eaten by an Ackley on hoth."
