Hoth: Blood and Ice

Remmington returns back to the operations centre to check things about and look into the weird droid that Mohyr had mentioned before. The increase in power made it easier to see things now.

"Welcome yellow parallel," the droid verbalized.

Some other staff, Imperial and Republic, were present as well monitoring security and other low priority base operations for now.

"Good morning. I am Lord Remmington Balmung. Who may you be?" He asks the droid.

"C5-PT," the droid responded.

An Imperial staff member says, "That's about the only thing that makes sense from that bloody droid."

Another would join the location, heralded by the smell of bleach dying in it's battle to contain and wash the stench of sludge away.

What on Tython was that thing? the Togruta pondered.

She opted to wear another set of overalls (after she burned the one she had used to wash the hangar) instead of her jedi attire as to not risk contamination.

''Hello there''

Remmington nods at the information. "Nice to meet you C5-PT. Am I the only Yellow Parallel here?"

With the new arrival he turns and offers a polite smile and salute. "Good morning Baesal. Or is it Master Baesal now? Thanks for the broth yesterday."

"All are yellow parallel," the droid responded.

''Well...'' she turned and recognised Remmington...Tralalalas? Damn it. She still could not remember that last name only that it had a lot of 'la' in it

''You can just call me Baesal if I can call you Remmington.'' she replied

Smooth, that should buy me some time.

''It was my pleasure, we all needed a little warm up.'' she glanced at the droid ''What's this about?''

Remmington smiles. "That is fine by me. No need for formalities between old classmates." He looks over at C5-PT. "I heard that there was an odd droid here."

"C5-PT, how are you holding up. Do you require any maintenance or updates?"

"This unit is green bilateral," the droid responded.

Baesal cocked her head at the sight and words of the droid

''I am sorry...hum...C5-PT...I do not believe we have met. I am Baesal Zyn, who are you?''

"C5-PT," the droid responded.

''My pleasure to meet you, I am a jedi master attached to the Jedi engieering corp. What is you purpose and function?'' she ventured before glancing to Remmington

''Who brought this droid here? I don't recall seeing him in the republic ship''

The droid does not respond and the staff say it has just been hanging around the base, no one is sure where it came from.

"Green... that usually means systems nominal. Do you recall when the last time you had maintenance done?" Remmington asks C5-PT.

"It seems that C5 was already here before we got here." He answers Baesal.

The droid responded, "No."

"That is a shame. What is your function here C5?" He asks.

"Verdant perpendicular of yellow parallels," the droid replied.

Baesals listens to the droid as he speak with Remmington

''Before we arrived? Does he know who lighted the beacons?''

The droid gestured at itself.

''Hum'' veins on her temples started pulsing ''Thank you Mister C5, we owe you much...How did you know we were in trouble?''

The droid does not respond.

''Remmington...I remember you being quite good with technology, what do you make of C5's chassis? Does it look like something you have seen before?''

She herself was puzzling over the odd language and the silences

''Was he tempered with since we arrived?''

"So... you called us here." Remmington surmises. "Is there something that we may assist you with C5?"

He looks over to Baesal. "If memory serves correct, you are no slouch yourself in that department Baesal." He ponders this as he studies C5.

"Hmm..."

The droid verbalized, "Salutations yellow parallels."

It departed.
