(D1-EA)(Closed) Cold Peace

It was where they were at. Both the Empire and the Republic in the same fox hole. Both camps had been trickling in slowly and you could cut the tension with a knife. But regardless, they would work together. They had to. So Breela needed to deal with that fact. Accept it. She needed to meditate.

So she searched the common area for a place to hide. A place to disappear in. Surprisingly it wasn't all that hard of a task. Settling her mind though?

She had been at it for a good hour. Starting and stopping. It was almost as if the Force was closing itself off from her. Then at the peak of emotional exhaustion she remembered Jubb's meditation yesterday. She remembered her vision of the children, of her husband. Free of pain, free of the troubles of this world.

She began breathing again. Drifting. Drifting. Drifting.

'No emotion... Peace.'

She succeeded alright. Now she was face to face with the storm. A massive, disgusting, green column of air. Swirling and twisting with dark side energy. But this time she didn't hear thunder. She didn't hear their screams. Instead she thought- yes... just beyond the clouds. A room maybe?

Something told her they were right there. All she had to do was brave the storm. All she had to do was confront her fears.

They're right there.

(OOC: Only if I can't flip destiny or something and not. Otherwise she's stepping through.)

She pushes through the inky almost caustic mess of the dark side into clarity, she can smell them and that brings her other senses into focus on the children. The eldest was following around what looked like a Rodian who seemed to be dictating words to them, she could feel the tightness of a slave collar around the neck of the eldest.

Taste the fear on their tongue, this Rodian was not the one holding the chains per se, but they were not loosening them either.

Then her vision got pulled to the younger who was busy chiseling at ice in a mine with other unfortunates, fear and anger growing in their breast. There was a lash of electricity and there was pain now… always pain if the masters thought they were slow.

Never fast enough.

The pain jolted her from the faraway place her senses had pulled her.

OOC: Suffer three strain and 3 Conflict due to dark side use.

She retches violently. And for a time convulses on the floor.

The sinking feeling didn't last long though. She hit rock bottom immediately. A cold hard surface called certainty. It gave her a disquieting, and equally cold peace.

"Okay," she managed, "okay..." She pulled herself up off the ground.

No hope needed here. Now she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt. "They're alive, they're here." Her gaze turned colder than the deepest vacuum.

"I'm coming."
