A refugee from Junk Town has made their way through the wastes to the Imperial listening post, they requested amnesty and are now waiting. They say they wish to exchange vital information for safe passage off the planet.
The refugee says she has information that could be vital in the conflict against Zakuul. But are they telling the truth?
OOC: Will need to traverse the storm to get to the listening post.

Sylvain heard the intel and stepped forward to be one of the people to go. His word meant something elsewhere in the Empire… so he felt qualified to deal with someone seeking amnesty.

Luth came along with the Minister of War. She spent the most time on his ship anyway - it seemed the obvious choice.

Aphr had also come along, looking out of the window watching out of the window as they travelled. She still hated the snow.

The listening post was out in the middle of nowhere, which was typical for any settlement on Hoth. It was an abandoned structure on the surface, it had little to no power on the surface and inside the structure stood a tall man in a fur hat with heavy clothes to stay warm.
He was supposedly attached to Imperial Intelligence and was known as Zinar, he greeted the members from the Empire, he did not say much and stepped aside and gestured to where the asylum applicant waited.

Sylvain walked forward with his two accompanying allies towards the appointed space.
His step the practiced pace of a Minister of War.

Aphr gave the well wrapped up man a nod and a smile. Feeling bad for the poor guy being trapped out in the frozen lands. Maybe they should have brought him some hoth chocolate...
She followed after Sylv

Luth followed immediately behind and a little to the side, her helmet on and hood up. Scary-looking accompaniment was a role she knew well.

A woman was seated at a table, it was freezing and she was dressed warmly. She rolled a small metallic ball between her fingers as she waited. She glanced at the trio as they filed in and then looked back down at the ball and waited for them to speak.
She looked unarmed.

Sylvain approached and stood in the middle of the group.
"I am Sylvain Torsin... Minister of War within the Sith Empire. We received word that someone at this location was seeking amnesty in exchange for information vital to the threat of Zakuul. Are we to understand you are this person?"

Luth waited and watched nearby, not sitting down for her part.

“Yes, Minister Torsin, that would be me,” she replied with an Imperial accent.
“My information is good and actionable, my Lord, but I would need assurances before I give it up to anyone. The Empire was not my first choice, but I feel you have the resources and wherewithal to provide what I am asking for.”

"Who exactly are we inviting into our protection? Not everyone suggesting that they possess intel on how to save the galaxy is worthy of acceptance." He replied.
"How did you come across this information and what are your reasons for bringing it forward now?"

"Valen," she said calmly.
"I came upon this through hard work and a great deal of effort," she responded.

"Valen, then... Assurances are a two-way street. If you disclose more on exactly what your work entailed... and how it is it was accomplished... Then we can consider meeting your requests. Trust is a thing not easily engendered from a Sith... but you are fortunate to have the one who thinks it has its uses. Let us build that trust so we both can get what we want..." He replied.

Valen responded, “I’m a slicer by trade, I had been monitoring communications from the White Maw and had come across some interesting data coming from the Core of the Republic and Empire. Invasions by an Empire, unstoppable fleets, it’s a mess, my lord. I am sure you are aware of. So, I delved deeper piggy backed pirate communications and was able to find that there may be a way to counter the space superiority of the new threat.”

Luth's helmet turned toward Sylvain and nodded a little. "My network's gotten information through similar means before." She paused, then looked back toward Valen. "What would have been your first choice, if not the Empire?"

Sylvain briefly looked at Luth when she spoke and then back to the informant to hear her answer.

“Well the Empire and Republic are both here working in tandem somewhere out in the wastes. That’s the word from the pirates anyways. Republic would probably be just as willing to have the information, but I am partial to the devils I know,” she admitted.
“Still could be, if I am not given just compensation and safe passage.”

"Credits," she said looking Sylvain a bit incredulously.

"Far easier to supply than some other forms of compensation..." Sylvain replied.
He looked to both of his companions to warrant their thoughts on the conversation...

"Let me clarify a little exactly what you're hoping for. Credits and passage off-world?" She asked. "Further protection than that? We're you hoping to return to our base or wait things out somewhere until we can get you out of here?"

Aphr had stayed quiet and listened to the debate. Some woman offering up information in exchange for safety, made sense. She didn't really have any disagreement with the womans idea, but it seemed Sylvain either didn't want to pay or was looking for someone to negotiate.
"From what I've seen, there are not many safe places in the galaxy right now. Worlds are falling all over, Imperial and Republic alike. You intend to see what the Imperial will offer and if you don't like it you'll go to the Republic...who are stationed at the exact same base as us, and try to bargain with them. And then if they don't give you what you want, come back to us? Or of course there's the Pirates, who are likely going to give you nothing at all. It's a risky play, because you know you're not getting off this planet without one of us agreeing. You'll get shot down by one or both sides even if you had a ship that could make it."
Aphr grinned.
"I like it."
