"It was an impressive specimen for a wampa by itself without the cyber modifications. But I wouldn't say unnaturally large. Just unnaturally modified and powerful really? Tho I am not a xenobiologist so I could be wrong," he replies.

He nods to Baesal. "Yep. It's resistant to normal lightsabers. But you made that special kind or something years back right? That may work if it's effective against stuff that usually protects against them."

She turns to Zeno and gave the familiar face a nod

''Yes...unless it is shielded then I am not sure of how the Ionsaber will work. I can lend it to you along with my lightshield if you want.''

She reached for her belt

''I could try and find a way to slice the thing remotely while you fight''

"It's up to you, but I am probably going to be leaning more on the force than on my combat training I think," he admits. "Though if you don't plan on using it at all or getting close I can take it. I wouldn't put it past me to do something stupid."

"How do you plan to use the Force? I want to optimize our strategy"

She moved closer and eyed the entrance

Jan raises an eyebrow before jerking a thumb at Pipka.


"If you can delay or immobilise it for a bit, I'm pretty sure that between the two of us we could kill a god, let alone a wampa."

"I suggest everyone get into position." Galen advised, moving back to a long range from the entrance.

"Battle Meditation. I learned a little bit about the mechanics of a hive mind too not long after you started your own studies of the kiliks. I can act as a conduit between senses and awareness, improve aggression and confidence while sharing combat orders and suggestions," he says to his friend.

[Aurilie Alde]

After her appearance at a distance, Aurilie catches up to the group at the head of the cave. She looked stoically between everyone who gathered there and merely gave them a nod each. It seemed like this little party of sorts was just getting started. "I'm going assume that this creature doesn't have a sympathetic backstory where mercy or hesitation is on the table, everyone?"

"When you see the bones of sentients picked clean inside you'll probably feel plenty justified in ending this threat," Zeno says to set people's minds at ease about whether the monster needs put down. Deserve? Maybe not. Need? Definitely.

[Pipka]

Pipka finishes loading four anti-infantry rounds into his launcher. From the sounds of it, the extra punch from the anti-vehicle rounds wouldn't help out here, so he opted for the easier to place munitions.

He gives a nod to Jan at her assertion. Then he slowly takes flight, up and back from the entrance, to try and remove himself from the path of an angry Mekawampa, stopping on the edge of the launcher's range at Medium distance from the lure and the nearby goat.

"It's like the big kath hound, the pack leader who was too corrupted to help." Galen nodded. "Mercy is putting it down."

[Jan Melmoar]

"....Well I'm sure someone very cool and extremely talented and handsome took that creature down. I guess history is repeating itself."

Jan calmly makes her way to a small hillock at long range and settles down on a thermal blanket, slowly working to camouflage herself into the terrain as she zeroes in on the cave entrance.

She nods at Zeno

''I am not a a melee specialist but I will try to interfere if he gets too close to the gunners. Let's hope it'll go better then against the Gree battle droid''

She then moved to cover, somewhere between Pipka and another gunner so she could lend assistance if the mekawampa got too close. She breathed in and attuned her senses to the Force as she took her weapons in her hands. She buzzed a command and a scarab droid on her back woke up, ready to serve.

[OOC] Pipka is up in the air a medium distance from the lure and goat. Trying to be off to the side a bit, not necessarily above anyone if there's an angle available.

Galen is at long eange, separate from the others.

The Duke-consort takes as much of a central location as he can and takes cover, prone in the snow.

[Zeno is taking cover in the snow not too far from Baesal so that he is as close as he can be to medium range from both Pipka and Jan and short to Baesal. Medium is his current range limit for BM. His rifle is ready.]

[Dapper Dog]

The area is still and the poor goat bait just moves back and forth as best as it can.

Over comms, "Yeah, he doesn't want to come out. Take a few pot shots into the entrance and down the hall. Maybe we can get it angry."

Zeno takes two shots as deep into the entrance hallway as he can.

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal squints and scans around, adjusting her scanner goggles. A frightful possibility crossed her mind.

It might already be on the hunt

She was already on alert, trusting the Force to alert her of an ambush

Pipka resisted the urge to 'send it' with Ole Betsy. That would probably cause a cave in and then he would never get his skull mask...

He did look around to see if there were any other entrances or viewports into the facility under the ice. Somewhere they could get a vantage point or an alternate escape if needed.

Baesal stopped looking at the entrance and began looking back. She could not see anything but...

"Guys...it might already be out"
