Hoth: Blood and Ice

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal isolated an area that could pass for a conference room and had been preparing it for a meeting. Tables and chairs were cleaned out, inspected for bugs (of the electronic variety) and organized.

She made her damn best to make sure there would be no undue surveillance in this room.

There was also fresh coffee because they were not, in fact, savages.

[Nudimsu]

Nudie was there, immediately at the caf machine. He had just gone to get the Turtle repaired for this, and was needing a pick-me-up.

Oh yes, and they were talking about some Intelligence stuff. Very important. But caf was the priority here.

''Good morning captain'' chimed the organizer after the blue man took his first sip of the brown nectar

Before would just have been gauche, even she knew that.

[Senya Tirall]

Senya arrived at least to see what the plan was, moving forward.

[Luth Khalan]

Luth had already found a seat and a cup to one side of the conference soon, sipping quietly. She had managed to locate some goat milk and sugar, at least.

[Katarzyna Panteer]

Looking better today than yesterday, Kat arrived as well, wearing the standard Jedi robes over her battle armor like she always had on the base. Everyone were acknowledged with a respectful bow before she sat down, with some caution as she still felt sore from the previous day's activites.

The general was present.

The senator and her aides were present.

[Darth Bellious]

Darth Bellious was present as well.

[Galen Panteer]

Galen brought hot chocolate, instead. It wasn't Hoth chocolate. He still had a bit of his own supply left. He sat down and set a datapad on the table in front of him.

Before would just have been gauche, even she knew that.

"Good...morning Baesal." He said with a eye raised. Maybe she didn't realize it was early afternoon. He politely nodded at everyone as they entered the room, curious as to what it was they were to be discussing. Much, no doubt, had been uncovered since his role had ended, and it was natural to wonder what it was that has happened since then.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren walked in and nodded to the others. He was back to full health now and ready to fight, but there was no one to fight. So he moved over to the Chiss and made himself a kaff.

[Nudimsu]

He nodded to the large muscular buff Sith. "Looking better than you did yesterday, Wrath. Be sure to thank Riss properly when you have the chance; she would be most appreciative of it." He began to sip the caf and nodded. "Not a bad blend."

[Jo'ren Rath]

The big guy thought about that for a few moments as he sipped the brew. "Thanks blue. Will do." There was an amused smile. "Yeah, it'll do just fine."

He pulled out a datapad ready for the meeting. "Hopefully we got some good Intel. Looks like we're gonna need it."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri sat there friends getting nods in greeting as he settled in dressed in the armored jacket he wore for more casual meetings.

[Luth Khalan]

"We at least have some intel on how the Zakuul fleet works," she said. "Baesal cracked it, though, so I don't know if she'd rather be the one to go into that."

[Baesal Zyn]

''I could, if you prefer...'' The jedi master sat down with her caf

''The Eternal Fleet is an automated system that consists of a neural network of self-aware machines linked to a central control device.''

She takes a sip

''The source is a questionable slicer by the name of Valen...'' she glanced towards Omandri just long enought for him to catch ''...but the data seems genuine. My first impression is that the fleet was not made by Zakuul but by another manufacturer. I have a guess as to where it comes from and the nature of the network itself but I'll have to confirm it.''

The pieces fit now

[Nudimsu]

"Doesn't surprise me all that much; their entire society relies heavily on droids, makes sense the fleet would be led by something of that sort of extreme." He nods his head and sips his caf as well. "Ion resistant too, so can't rely on the usual tactics one would to deal with droids. Assuming that is what has been causing the most trouble for both Forces."

[Tethys Carrack]

Tethys is quietly present as well, since she seems to have become a sort of Gree liason officer, at least for the moment, Perhaps greater minds of Republic xenodiplomacy will take up the job when they all eventually rendezvous with the main fleet, but in the meantime Tethys might as well be the one to keep their very alien allies up to date on Republic-Empire plans, and vice versa.

[Remmington Balmung]

Remmington takes notes on his datapad the information that Baesal provides with much interest. He takes a sip of kaf from his seat.

''I could, if you prefer...'' The jedi master sat down with her caf

She takes a sip

''The source is a questionable slicer by the name of Valen...'' she glanced towards Omandri just long enought for him to catch ''...but the data seems genuine. My first impression is that the fleet was not made by Zakuul but by another manufacturer. I have a guess as to where it comes from and the nature of the network itself but I'll have to confirm it.''

The pieces fit now

She nodded in agreement, and added, "We have a significant data imprint of their systems along with notes. Enough to be able to crack their signals if we have the right hardware to do it. That last part will be the trick."

[Galen Panteer]

"What hardware would that be?" Galen asked.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Either what we can acquire form them or what we can build on our own...at least that's what seems to be the two options for now.''

[Katarzyna Panteer]

This was a hope. A chance for them to strike back at Zakuul. She nodded to Galen's question, as it was on her mind as well.

[Luth Khalan]

"It's what Baesal said. Negotiations broke down when it came to acquiring her services in that regard," she replied to Kat and Galen. "That said, once we get this data analyzed and learn what sort of tech we would need in general, I was planning on engaging in some espionage missions to retrieve it... or at least something we can reverse engineer. I may be able to find some information on Zakuul that could help if I can get it sorted out."
